We are a community of faith, sharing Christ's love, serving all people.
We are held together by one Lord, one faith, one baptism. Though we are a diverse people; faith in Jesus unites us. We are blessed by Christ's love to be a blessing to others. Our mission includes sharing what God has given us, ourselves, our time, our possessions, signs of God's love. We welcome and serve all people, without distinction.
We are an ELCA congregation in the Metropolitan New York Synod.
As we enjoy these summer months, we cannot forget that we are blessed to have the richness of God’s presence in our everyday life. Likewise, the Christian Outreach Committee feels blessed that many members of Zion have graciously served as stewards of this church. Members of all ages gave service this past year and it was a special delight to see many of our young confirmands participating as acolytes and offering ushers in the worship service. It is with deep gratitude that we give thanks to all of Zion’s stewards as we look forward to the months ahead. Our goal is to continue our mission of service to this community and helping those in need. We invite anyone, who like to assist in that mission, to speak with one of our committee members, Pat, Carole, Janet, Margaret or Sandy, or contact them via the info posted on the church lobby bulletin board.
